Changi Airport "Magic in Transit"
2D animation series
The Overview
What a joy to see our work on Magic in Transit resonate on such a meaningful level that having our animation bring real stories to life is a journey we deeply cherish!
We’re so excited to share how we helped turn real airport encounters at Changi Airport into a heartfelt series. Inspired by true passenger stories where moments of stress and uncertainty were transformed by a touch of care, this project was crafted in close collaboration with our wonderful partners at Hogarth and Ogilvy Singapore.
They needed dedicated production support to bring the animation part of the videos to life, aiming to share stories about their employees and travelers, increase brand positive sentiment, and communicate past real-life stories in an engaging way for digital channels like social media and digital ads. To handle this, SuperPixel’s scope of work covered the storyboard, character design, colour grading, as well as compositing and editing.
The vision behind the Magic in Transit project was to honor the quiet, everyday dedication of Changi Airport’s staff. We wanted to move beyond traditional marketing video and create something that feels like a cherished memory such as soft, inviting, and deeply personal.
To achieve this, we developed a unique watercolour visual style, using soft edges and warm lighting to make the corporate marketing campaign feel like a series of warm, relatable short films.
Some of the most meaningful brand stories are already out there waiting to be told, and animation is the perfect way to help people truly feel them.
